RISR celebrated United Nations Day, a meaningful event that highlighted the rich diversity of our school. The program opened with country presentations, where students proudly shared cultural facts and showcased traditional clothing. Mr. Remo also led an engaging segment emphasizing the importance of global understanding and unity.
Following the presentations, students explored interactive country booths featuring cultural artifacts, maps, flags, handicrafts, posters, and food samples prepared by families. With printed passports in hand, students visited each booth to learn about different countries and collect stamps.
To conclude the experience, students reflected on the question: “What do we appreciate about each other’s cultures?” and shared their thoughts on a community bulletin board.
UN Day remains a powerful reminder of the importance of cultural respect, curiosity, and connection at RISR.
